Announcements – August 11, 2023

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we gather before our Lord this coming Sunday for worship, we will once again consider our Savior’s question that is recorded for us in Matthew 19:4
Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female?
So far we have discovered that in this question, initially aimed at the Pharisees, there is a word from Jesus . . .
on the written Word of God
on creation
on humanity
on human sexuality
on marriage
Obviously, this passage, and the words of our Savior set forth here, touches the very epicenter of the current controversy over human sexuality, gender, and the meaning of marriage.  And, as a consequence, it is essential that we understand the full depth of our Lord’s teaching.
This Lord’s Day, we will examine the final three of these subjects that are inherent in the unusual question that Jesus asked that day.
I love you all with all my heart,

Welcome to Christ Presbyterian Church! Thank you for joining us for worship. If this is your first time visiting our church, please fill out a visitor card and place it in the offerings box at the back of the sanctuary. If you have any needs or would like additional information, please see one of our elders or deacons. Finally, if you require hearing assistance or a pew cushion, please see one of our men in the sound booth at the rear of the sanctuary.

Fall Supper Clubs
Fall Supper Clubs are groups of (usually) 4 couples/singles that meet together once a month from Sept-Dec.  Each couple/single takes one of the months and plans the get-together.–potluck dinner in a home, restaurant, picnic, however you would like to host.  It’s a great way to get to know others in the church on a deeper level and to make new relationships.

To sign up, please click the link below and sign up by Aug. 20.  If you have questions, please contact Carol Cummings.
