Nursery (Infant to 3 years)
It is our goal at Christ Presbyterian to provide a safe and loving environment for infants through 3 years old in our nursery and pre-school ministry. With God’s help, we hope to plant the seeds of the gospel by loving the little ones who are the next generation to come.
For our preschoolers (2s and 3s), we teach a class during the Sunday school hour. We hope that they will learn the vocabulary of our faith in order to establish a love of God and His Word. We first and foremost want to teach the Gospel in a simple, effective manner; through stories, crafts, and songs. During worship service, they are allowed to play together, with both nursery staff and member volunteers caring for them.
Children 4 yrs and up attend worship service with their families after the Sunday school hour. We desire for families to worship together. We do offer a soundproof room off the back of the sanctuary for those nursing mothers or those with young toddlers.

Children’s Ministry (Pre-K to 5th Grade)
We desire to equip our children with knowledge of God’s Word that will form a solid foundation for them as they grow into their early teen years. Biblical lessons from the Old and New Testament are presented to display the glory of God, and through this, we pray our children will see their need for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is imperative that we equip them with foundational truths about God and help them grow in their knowledge of God’s Word. Through time spent in Sunday school class and worship, we will teach them about God’s redemptive story, their sin, and their need for a Savior.
In our children’s Sunday school classes, we use materials produced by Great Commission Publications. Their distinctives are as follows:
- Our Sovereign God
- Show Me Jesus
- God’s Grace in the Covenant
- Historical Redemptive Approach
- Church-Family Connection
Children’s Sunday school is divided up into toddlers, preK/Kinder, 1st/2nd, and 3rd/4th/5th grade classes. Sunday school begins at 10:30 am when in session (breaks around the holidays and in summer).

As the children grow, and with help from the church body, parents are equipped to disciple them and prepare them to become communing members. When our parents feel their child/teen is ready, you may contact Pastor Mike about scheduling an interview for membership.
Please contact Pastor Mike for more information on becoming a communing member and resources to guide you through this process.
