Church Family,

While Mike is away on vacation, we welcome Rev. Jim Daughtry to our pulpit this coming Lord’s Day. Please pray for Jim as he prepares to proclaim God’s Word to us!

New Adult Sunday School Class Begins October 20th

Our new topic for Adult Sunday School will be Spiritual Warfare. Mike and the Session will lead a study of this subject based on the book by Brian Borgman and Rob Ventura entitled, Spiritual Warfare: A Biblical and Balanced Perspective (Reformation Heritage Books, 2014). We will begin this series on Sunday October 20.

Below is a link where you may secure your copy of the textbook:

Counselor’s Corner:

On occasion someone will ask me what books I might give to someone struggling with grief and loss.  This is certainly not a bad question at all.  After all, there are a myriad of resources on the issue, many of them having the potential to greatly encourage, describe expectations and provide helpful guidance in the midst of pain. Yet, it is also good for us to consider what books I ought to read as I consider helping those struggling with grief and loss.  In this post, we describe three resources that you might consider reading as you approach family and friends dealing with the pain of loss.
