Sermon Preview:
Beloved Ones in Christ Jesus,
On this day, we are especially mindful of our Savior’s death for our sins. It was on a Friday that Jesus was nailed to the cross, and then died shortly thereafter and was placed in the tomb. His death, however, was neither a martyrdom nor a murder, but a freely given sacrifice for our sins.
Tonight at 6:00 PM we will worship together and focus upon the cross of our Savior.
As we have done in the past on Good Friday, we will travel together through various Scripture passages and Christian hymns that explain to us the meaning of the death of the Son of God. Then, we will look briefly at the inspired words of Romans 6:3 where we learn the amazing fact that we also died with Jesus that Friday afternoon so long ago.
What could this mean that we’ve been “baptized into His death” (v. 3)?
Then, on Easter Sunday, we will gather to remember and celebrate the bodily resurrection of our Lord and King. Once again we will turn to Paul’s words in Romans 6 where, in verses 4-5, we discover that we not only died with Jesus, but we have also been raised from the dead with Him!
What could this mean that “as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life” (v. 4)?

Children’s Ministry:
We are excited to open up VBS 2022: Faith Expedition registration TODAY! Our volunteer team is so excited to go through this adventure with your children. VBS is open to children who have completed preK (4 yr old age group OR preschool) through 5th grade. We also need a few more adult and youth volunteers. You can register by using our new Church Center App or by clicking the link below. Members will be able to register by logging in (you’ll need to log in to your Church Center account in order to see/register your children). There is a “Guest” option as well. Invite a friend or neighbor! Register your children and youth volunteers using the link below. Cost is $10/child ($5 each additional child after 2) and includes a t-shirt.

Senior Sisters:
The next meeting will be at 10:30 AM on April 21 at the church. We are delighted to announce that Eleanor will be leading us in making clay doves! If you know for sure that you will be able to attend, please let us know so we can correctly estimate the supplies needed to make them. Women’s Ministry:
