Sermon Preview:
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This Sunday we will continue our sermon series on ‘The Church: The People of God.’ Our text will be taken from Revelation 1:4-6 and 1 Peter 2:5-9. In these passages we will discover that the Church is a ‘Priestly People.’
Many of you are perhaps familiar with the doctrine of ‘The Priesthood of All Believers.’ This was one of the key theological points of emphasis at the time of the Protestant Reformation. It is a rich Biblical doctrine that will help us to better appreciate who we are as the Church which our Savior has established.
Also on Sunday, it will be our special joy during Worship to hear a Missions Report from Noah and Karleigh Stephens, our Missionaries to Thailand. We look forward to meeting them in person and learning more about their work, and about ways that we might pray for them more specifically.
I will be a wonderful day of Worship, and I can’t wait to see you there!

Children’s Ministry:
It’s an exciting time at Christ Pres, as we move into spring and summer!
First, our new check-in procedure for nursery will begin on Sunday, May 1st. When you arrive, you will go to the new iPad station (near the nurseries), find your last name, and “check-in” your infants and toddlers. The printer will then print labels that we will put on their backs. This will include name, contact information, and allergies. It will help our staff members keep the children safe and secure. It will also keep attendance. Visitors may also check-in via the iPad. Amanda and I will be there to help.
Secondly, VBS is LIVE! We are utilizing the new Planning Center program. You will click the link HERE, log in to your PC account, and select those you want to register. For example, I can choose to register myself and Kate as “volunteers” and the boys as “attendees.” It will allow you to choose t-shirt size, include allergy information, and pay.
Please register both volunteers (adult/youth) and children. You’ll receive a confirmation email once completed. This is how we will communicate with volunteers, order t-shirts, place youth/children in age groups, and check-in attendees.
Feel free to invite a friend, neighbor, or cousin! Registration will be open until mid May. Amanda and Erin still need help, so reach out to them if you are able!
I am so thankful to see each of you at church and Sunday school regularly. You are all so faithful! Our children’s ministry and nursery ministry is overflowing, and I pray you also reach out to the many visitors we have each week. It is a blessing to work with your families!

Senior Sisters:
The next meeting will be at 10:30 AM on May 19 at the church. We are delighted to announce that Eleanor will be leading us in making clay doves! If you know for sure that you will be able to attend, please let us know so we can correctly estimate the supplies needed to make them. Women’s Ministry:
Monthly Lunch: Our next monthly luncheon will be on May 5 beginning at 11 AM at the Timbers Edge Clubhouse located at 1 Timbers Main, Brownsboro. It’s potluck – feel free to bring a dish or just yourself. If you have questions or transportation needs please contact Pat Galecki at 256-244-0612
Winter/Spring Bible Studies: The Tuesday study for mothers meets at 9:30 AM at the church. Contact Amy Schnorrenberg for more info.
Baby Shower: There will be a baby shower for Katie Jackson from 3-5 on May 1. Location at the home of Cheryl Johnson.
Career/Singles:
Career/Singles meet on Sundays at the Daughtry home at 5:30 PM.
